draglite tire help!!

hello i have my draglites i bought recently. once my car is running again they will be going on. when i got them i got new skinny tires for the front rims. they are 165 r15 tires. i measured them and the tire and rim are 25.5 inches tall.

i didnt get any rear tires. the back rims are 15x8 with a 5.5 inch BS.

i was trying to decide on a good size tire. i want something that will make it 25.5 inches tall or a lil higher.

installing a 255/50 tire will make it 25 inches tall. and a 255/60 will make it 27 inches tall which i fear would cause the back end to noticably sit up higher.

i calculated a 275/50 would make it 26 inches tall which wouldnt be as bad. but i would be afraid of the tire not wanting to fit up on the car.

would you be able to see the rearend sitting half an inch lower if i go the 255/50 route???

give me some ideas

i dont think that you would even notice 1/2 inch..i have 235/60s on the back of mine but it still sits lower in the front due to the 4cyl springs

275/50s will work just fine. My tires are 26" tall and fit just fine, hell the stock tires are about 26" tall.

I also run the 275 50's and they work just fine. In fact i'm pretty sure i could squeak a 295 in if i removed my quad shock.
