I'm thinking of putting an Aluminum Drive Shaft in my 2000 Automatic transmissioned car when pulling my X-Pipe off next Friday at Chicanes Sport Tuning??? Ford Racing and a few other companies offer an Aluminum Driveshaft for a Manual transmissioned Mustang cars in my body style but no mention of one for an Auto car! When I inquire about wether it will work or not for an automatic no one seems to know, not even experts at Mustang shops!! So my first question is, has anyone changed out a Drive shaft in an Automatic Tranny car from 99 to 04??? And if so, what one did they use??? Is the length of it longer/shorter then a manual tranny car?? Whats different about the driveshaft for an automatic car vs a manual in my body styled car 99 to 04???? Hoping someone out there may know some answers??? It makes sense to put one in since the exhaust is coming off and I'm putting the Original H-Pipe design back on!! Any answers would help!! I'm guessing I might have to get it up on a rack an measure it???
Boy, at any of the speeds your car is cruising at and especally the higher speeds, things are really smooth with an Aluminum Driveshaft in place and it seemed like my car got rejuvenated and definately wasn't working very hard to float down the road like a butterfly!!!
