Drop Springs + UCA Drop = still too high. any recommendations before I cut my coils?

I'm not too sure of the tire math... but I know that my old tire setup on my 14" rims is taller than the one on my 17" rims.

I'm really happy with the setup so far, thanks. I'm going to try to do my coils & LCAs tonight if I can, and once it's all level, I'll post up pics.

looks good opentracker, that's how mine sits only mine is about a 1/2" or so higher all around. That Boss-like stripe is kickin' too!

Tire math
225/60/15.....225 divided by 25.4=8.86, 8.86x.60=5.32, 15+5.32+5.32=25.64
235/45/17.....235 divided by 25.4=9.25, 9.25x.45=4.16, 17+4.16+4.16=25.32

Opentracker: that's a great stance. I replaced the spring perches with new ones with poly bushings. they move very freely.

Jason: you mounted the prop. valve in the rear of the car? I thought it went up front near the MC?

and BTW, 302Coupe, it sounds like our setups will look about the same. Which 4 wheel discs do you have?

Bobv is right about getting the lower control arm leveled out; it is in the directions. I called them to ask about this and they said it would provide the best geomeetry for improved handling. If you check yours and it's already level, I would look into other options. If it's not, cut away, but I think you will want to switch to lighter springs if you do; cutting them increases spring rate. I would go with the variable rate springs in their lighter rates and then cut them to get it right.

I have the infamous granada/versailles combo, low-tech and works like a champ.

It does it's job wherever it's put in the rear line. I just did not like my mounting options available in the engine compartment. So instead of hacking it in there... I opted for the easy location.

Okay, I cut 1/2 coil off, which dropped the front about an inch. I might have to cut a little bit more, because my LCA's are slightly closer to the ground on the outboard ends. We'll see if it settle more.

I'd recommend driving the car for about a week or so and truly let it settle in before cutting more. Be patient and you'll be better off...

Yeah, patience is the key. I just want to do everything at once....

But I do need to get the suspension done and aligned so that I can take it out and break in the brakes ( ) properly.
