Hi guys,
This past saturday I installed my MAC O/R H-pipe. This was the first time I've installed one and it was a major pain in the ass. The front left 02 sensor will not reach the slot in the pipe so I disconnected it and just screwed it in the pipe and taped it around the crossbar. I have ordered extension harnesses but they wont be here till later this week. How will this affect my A/F Ratio? Will it hurt the car if I drive it in this condition? Thanks for all your help.

As far as I know, you don't need to re order o2 sensors, the stock ones should work just fine. If you don't have a reprogrammer or chip then you will need MIL Elims however. When you install on Saturday, make sure you have about 14" of Extension and a universal joint to get to the passenger side manifold bolts, most of the install time was spent trying to get to them to either loosen the stock pipe or tighten the new h-pipe (which i now have a leak up at the passenger side). Hope that helps.

Mils are for your rear o2 sensors you'll throw a code I've heard differing opoins as to if it will cause an issue or not. Fronts are needed they are what gives you the AF ratio. When I put my prochamber on had zero issues with front and zero leaks. Bought the cheap solder in MILS off ebay solder them on made my own extensions and bam I was done. 45 min start to finish.

Will the car run w/o MILs the place im ordering from says they are back ordered and just send the H-Pipe first. Can i put it on and drive fine and install the MILs once they arrive?

Yes, you'll throw a code and should be fine. I can't say you will run perfectly, but you should *cough* not have trouble because of angering the PCM over the rear o2's reading rich.

From what I understand, the only MILs do is tattoo the problem, not take it away.

Be careful when listening to advice from non-04 owners. The 04's were the only year to not have the rear o2's clear at the back of the stock H. Hence, you'll need extensions to take them from their stock position (just between each set of cats) to the aftermarket H position (near the end of the mid pipe).

Boy, if they only made a pipe for 2004......then you wouldn't need the extensions. Make a pipe for one year, however, would be stupid for manufacturers.

i had that issue when i put my mac pro-chamber in. i used ext's for the front left side. front right reached just fine. then used mil's AND ext's for out back left and right. havn't seen a chck engine light since i put the mil's and ext's in. i bet you had one hell of a time getting that stock h-pipe out huh?
