dumb shifter question

ok i have my shifter off can i fill the fluid through there or do i have to use the hole on the side of the tranny?

so i can fill it from the hole in the shifter and itll drain down into the car? alright, how much fluid do i use? im using b&m trick shift full synthetic fluid.

You fill it until it comes out of the fill / check plug on the side of the transmission. Make sure you don't fill past that by leaving the plug in when you fill

Yep... that's how I've always done it. Never paid much attention to exactly how much it took to get it to the bottom of the fill hole.

Should hold ~2.6-2.7 quarts.
