you all know the specs on the TFS 2000 stage 1 cam:
221/225 499/510 $159
i called Reed custom camshafts and got some specs on what a custom grind would be. his cam seems really close to what the TFS1 is:
222/228 510/510 $269
my question is this> the amount of duration between those 2 cams doesnt seem like a big difference to me.....is it?
this will be in a 306 combo (see my sig)
will the 2 cams sound and perform the same?.....or will there be some noticable difference?
can i save a 100 bucks and get the shelf cam and have the same performance?
awaiting some guidance
thanks
jeremy

Theres so much to choosing a cam but people usually look at the .050" lift/duration and wonder if its too big or too small. I can't help but laugh
Most of us don't know cams so custom is usually the best bet but theres proven shelf cams.
