Dust Shields Sn 95 Spindles

Why do the spindles and hubs on here and EBay not come with dust shields? Are you supposed to use the ones that come with the brakes you use? For example, I have a PBR set up with the later, straight arm end spindles. I am getting 94-95 spindles, but they have no back shields. Will the PBR dust shields work on the SN 95 spindles?
 
I bet I can drill out the rivets and transfer them IF they are supposed to fit. Are folks leaving them off for more heat transfer to more fresh air for track use? I worry more about sand, water and street gunk without them than heat soak.
 
They're splash shields, not dust shields, and they're pretty worthless regardless. IMO they hold too much heat near the rotor in spirited driving, unless you modify them to attach cooling ducts to them like some people do.

Just have some tin snips handy but for the most part there is really only 1 front shield for all 1994-2004 Mustangs. Some slight differences, but nothing that would prevent you from mounting a 2004 shield on a 1994 or vice versa.

Drill the rivets out and I used bolts with nylon locking nuts on mine to install.

If you never drive in the rain, you can leave them off. They are to prvent water from splashing on the rotor from the opposite wheel when you drive through a puddle. I do find on the non 13" brake cars, if you spray paint them flat black, they tend to hide the suspension from being seen through your rims

The difference between the 94-95s and 96-04s is the tie rod location, the 96-04's will rub, that is the reason for needing to cut a section out.

I have been looking at kits for this Mustang and a different car, and PST calls them dust shields/ backing plates. Splash shield makes more sense, but it is not worth getting snippy about.

Now using the snips to make tie rod end clearance makes sense whole I am street driving.
