Dwell pins?

The pins comming out of the motor to mate the bellhousing to the tranny are called dwell pins?Did anyone hear of when swapng to a Tremec TKO to change those pins so the clutch is not out of line with the front trans shaft?I only have a grind from when I take off in 1st or in reverse.
If someone out there could call me if they have an idea or technical opinion on the situation...

ya dowels*sorry i just had a guy com to my house today to look at car he suggested that,and I got the ford racing bell housing an I suppose to change them?
