Okay guys I'm getting my car dyno tuned today and want to hear what your estimates on rwhp and tq is before they are done. Here we go- 1995 mustang gt 5 speed DSS 331 stroker. Egr delete and AC delete. Cat and muffler delete. TFS track heat upper and lower intake, TFS twisted wedge heads ported and polished, TFS stage 1 cam, crane cam 1.6 rockers, fox body conversion 70mm TB, 75 mm MAF, 30 lb injectors, MSD ignition, bbk shorty headers going to straight pipes. What's your best guess??

That would be my guess as well. Mine made 360ish rwhp but I’ve got a bit more in mine.

Well she made 289 hp and 330 tq at the wheels. I guess kind of like a stock cobra from that era.

Oh hell no. Stock Cobra's were in the 240/290 range.

Did the tuner make any comments if the motor was running out or getting close to running out of air or fuel? Just curious.

Found this on YouTube when LMR dyno'd a bone stock 1993 Cobra:

Oh ok. Well, I'm not dissapointed...it runs great in my opinion. And the 330 tq at the wheels is more than enough with my 410 gears. BUT I was expecting numbers to be a little higher in the hp. The tuner said I'm actually where I should be for the set up. The " low" hp number is because of my stage 1 TFS cam. He said it's a great cam for a 302, but pretty small in a stroker engine. Oh well. Rips off the line and pulls hard enough to sit you back, that's all that matters to me

Yeah, I was wondering if that would hold the combo back. As long as it is not lazy and hits you in the pants-o-meter that is all that matters.

It's good enough for me. Will a stock coyote walk all over it? Ofcourse. Probably half the 4 banger boosted tuner cars would too. But it's fun as all heck sliding sideways on 410 gears with an old school pushrod 90s hot rod

Stock 93 Cobra 235/280 at the crank.

290/330 at the wheel is [way] better

Yeah, I'm content with it. Not too shabby for a mild cam setup.

I had a 331 (stock block) with a TFS top end kit (not the track heat intake), stage 1 cam and TW heads with a lot of other stuff, like you do. 3.73 gears. Never had it dynoed but man that car ripped. This was in a Fox so maybe a little lighter?

Anyways I guesstimated it to be a mid to low 12 second car, not sure what the new 5.0’s run but I would think it could’ve held its own.

Similar to my 347. I was told my cam is holding me back.

I suppose that depends on your definition of "holding back".

That's obviously a street cam. A stage 2+ cam would push your torque curve to the right giving you a little more peak at the sacrifice of making 350+ ft/lbs at 3250 rpm.

I'm guessing your combo is pretty wild on 'throttle blip'.

As in: Wakes up right TF meow.

Oh it's a terror on the streets for me and first gear with my 3:73's is non existent. Unfortunately I have no info on the cam. I bought the short block already built and lost touch with the dude shortly after.
