look in the sig for setup. 278 hp and 324 tq at the rear wheels. doing the -15%math i got 320hp @ 372 tq at the flywheel. the is run on 93 octane always.

its all in my sig. i was told that the edelbrock rpm 2 and a power pipe would give 20 more HP at the wheels. i took the car to alternative auto where it was dynoed and a chip was made. overall it was a nice experience, he told me it should easily run low 12's

Overall, i am happy with the results. i did it all in my garage, the car is a blast to drive, sounds great, and is extremily streetable. this is not a race car but a fun car that is faster than most.

i posted this to give you guys REAL #'s. i hope this helps with atleast some of the guessing with your future projects.

ALSO: i am open to suggestions.

Low 12's are not completely out of the question with some good driving and a launch. Don't expect it though...

Getting a custom camshaft would really benefit you, and have the GT-40 ported

I would do that before anything, or find something else.

I have seen many stock gt40 intake combos max out at 280 (obviously there are exceptions). I know of 5 of the top of my head that picked up 15rwhp or so just from having someone who knows how to port do them.

Im not to familiar with the heads your using, some tfs, or afrs would net more power. Or get them ported. As well the lower intake, tmoss does good work, he ported mine.

About running some 12s, track testing and learning how the car likes to be driven will help. Still using your stock tach? Its very unaccurate...need to know where your shifting at.

the combo in my 5.0 used to be similar to yours, but I had the E-303 cam and running a carb with 3.45 gears. I could run 13.6 all day long but I had no launch cause it was stock suspension on stock size street tires. However, I was running consistently 104mph, and almost hit 105 once, which is enough to get you mid 12's if you can get some really good traction.

They are pretty bad out of the box (and now that I realize that, maybe 5-10rwhp with a ported cobra until the heads are cleaned up).

They can flow very well after being ported however.

I made 264rwhp with homeported windsor jr lites, a RPM airgap and a CI cam with a c4.

Was this a mustang dyno or dyno jet? I have a 302 with GT40P's ported polished cobra intake ported polished caint remember the cam size 1.6 FRPP rockers L/T's 19# injectors 70MM acufab TB and a 76MM C&L maf. My car made 301HP/328TQ at the wheels. The gut that built the car ran 12.2 pulling the front wheels. My best times in it is 12.8 my average is 13 flat 13.2's with a 60' of low mid 1.6's. My shifting sucks as you can see and plus to the previous owner got screwed and had 24# injectors installed. So i would say if you have no syspension mods then you should be getting about mid13's. peace

I got the same heads and intake and 1.6's but with an E cam and made 280 at the wheels. Same here I got the heads for a steal and there was no way the stock was going back on. I heard they flow pretty well ported also.
