Everything I've heard/read stock s197 come in around 267-272'ish rwhp. With no tune, just a K&N drop in filter, flowmasters you would be pushing to make 10hp gain IMO. So that's what 280rwhp tops.

Well like discussed in a prvious thread all Stangs dyno a little different. How much variance could be a little up for grabs. Maybe your engine is on the high side of the stock range?

If so consider yourself one of the lucky ones.

sorry but a basically stock mustang gt with the few mods that you have is not going to make that much power. run it on a different dyno and compare.

A little different yes but that's way out. Keep in mind this is a Mustang Dyno not a DynoJet, it typically loads the cars and reads 10% low. On a DynoJet this would be over 300 RWHP and I've never seen any 3 or 4 valve car over 300 RWHP without a mid-pipe, mufflers, and a good tune. I'd say the dyno isn't calbrated or this is STD numbers.

On a Mustang chassis dyno ?? with just the few mods you've done so far ? NO WAY..you couldn't even get those numbers on a dynojet, unless whoever tuned your car really leaned out your A/F mixture ?.. Speaking of which, did you get your A/F checked ?? if you happen to notice any type of knock and ping, I'd advise that you get it checked out as soon as possible

I'm with radtexas you could have a factory wonder on your hands. I used to own
an '89 5.0 Coupe T-5 3.08 gear K&N panel, otherwise bonestock including timing. Well that little wonder pulled like it had at least 3.73's. I know what your thinking, another butt dyno testimony, but I wouldn't rule anything out.
