Well, just got her tuned today. I'm still very very hapy with my car, but I was hoping for 400 ish, came out with 363 rwhp and 353 rwtq. I'm not stopping until I get 400. I'm not getting a smaller pulley, I'm already running a 3.25", and when I move back to sea level, I'll be pushing 11 psi, so i'll need to find another 40 hp somewhere else. What do you think is the easiest way to get there? TB? underdrive pullies? Comments? Suggestions?

i like ur thread, instant info on #'s no anticipation. As for how to reach ur #'s, dont run under drive pullies, not smart on an FI car. LT's would help breathing a lot. Or you could always spend that money on a new intake from summit at like $800. Either way after u get those 3.73's in it'll feel like 400rwhp anyways

Well, I didn't see an intercooler on your mod list. So that is what I would go with next. I also agree with CobraRed on getting LT headers. Either one would make big gains on a FI car.

Nice #'s by the way!

Nice numbers! Those sound about average for those Vortec kits. I have a few questions for you since you are the first one I know of that is running a V2-SQ in Colorado.

-You just have the Vortech Tuner kit right?
-Have you upgraded any part of the fuel system?
-How much PSI are you seeing with the 3.25" pulley?
-Who did your tuning? I'm looking for someone to tune SCT in Colorado.

To get those few extra ponies you may want to add a 75mm TB and Plenum.

Intake manifold, like the trickflow and LT headers would get you really close.

just to let you know, you cant run underdrives, it will kill your psi,.. exhaust would make a huge difference. Maybe a boost pipe and plenum.

one thing to remember though is that psi is only a measurement of restriction. so changing these things will free up airflow and boost pressure will drop, but you will be flowing more air than you were at 11psi... so going with a smaller pulley basically achieves the same thing, it flows more air, just not as efficient.

I'm, not saying your one of them, but to many people get caught up in "psi".. it is CFM that matters, you just cant measure it as easily.

or you could put on an intercooler or methanol injection and pick that power up easily and safely.

Those are excellent numbers. Congrats! I suggest you take a break from power modding to perform routine maintenance and replace normal wear items if necessary. You should consider some suspension modifications at this point as that is where the Mustang is the absolute weakest. The suspension crap wears the f'k out and ruins the driving experience Who wants to have a crap ride and hear shiot thunking and clunking underneath? Not me said I...

Only really see the intercooled kits pushing 400hp. Without the intercooler, most don't pulley small enough to get 400. LT's and such might get you close, but I still wouldn't think you would hit 400.

+1 ...seriously!

Intercooler would be a good idea...but just don't bother with anything else till you're back at sea level, if that's going to be your final destination that is.

And 400rwhp was easy for me without intercooler...just full exhaust, boost pipe, and 3.33" pulley! Made 423rwhp like that...now with the FMIC probably pushing 10rwhp more with 3psi less, now with 3.1 pulley going on (in a while...lol) I'll be pushing the stock block as far as it's gonna go pretty much.

I'd start with the boost pipe, then maybe the tb and plenum. That should put you easily in the 380's. LT would probably put you over the 400 mark from there.

All that being said, intercooler is a good idea. Obviously it'll help cool the intake temps and give you power at the same time. I think think just that and powerpipe would get you very very close to 400.

Actually I don't. Do they make one for the V2-SQ? If so, where can I find one, and how much?

There are a few factory freaks out there, but there's no way a stock terminator will put down 400rwhp. Try again.

I don't see Blower Cams on your list, some Crower st 2's should do the trick.
