everything that has already been said, and depending on how crazy you want to get, change the heads to AFR or TFS. Nice numbers though for only 5 lbs. of boost.

I was more impressed that you did it on 4-5 psi than anything else. If you run like 8-9 psi, you would be near 400 at the wheels.

your gonna need more intake and more fuel. I would go with 42# injectors at a minimum. You could go wtih a cam from Jay Allen or Ed C. to really pick up some major HP!

whos jay allen or ed c? also i was thinking about bringing the boost up to somewhere around 8-12lbs, bigger injectors and a 70mm t/b that should put me at 400 right?

Ed C owns www.flowtechinduction.com Jay A owns www.camshaftinnovations.com

I'd swap pullies to get the boost up around 8 pounds it will get you closer to 400 with your current set-up. That cam is hurting your power, not really a good profile for a blower a fair bit of your power is going out the exhaust. I've made over 400 on similar combo's with no issues, but a blower style cam.

If the 24# inj are suppling all the fuel with out a FMU then you do not need a larger injector. Hows the A/F ratio look?

I'm suprised that you can support that much power with 24's and no FMU.

I assume Dagger means that with all the extra boost, he'll probably end up in block splitting territory.

12 pounds aint all that.. Personally i have a few friends locally that are running high 400rw to a most of 506 to the wheels and i hear nothing but good things about their cars.. My buddy with the 506 has been for over a year now with no problems... Im a believer that the tune is the main thing that will determine if youll end up killing your motor with that much power..... Im looking to make 450 max rwhp when i go to the dyno..

The thing is that "You" never stop to consider what 12 lbs of boost means from one combination to the next. 12lbs is not 12lbs is not 12lbs. Here, the guy is already putting down what he says is 357HP to the wheels on 5 lbs of boost and 24 lb injectors with no FMU. So let's just add another 7 lbs of boost from the same blower and see how far we can get before the whle thing goes sky high. Let's also not consider what the blower outlet tempuratures are going to be out of THAT specific blower into his specific combination. I am glad to see however, that if nothing else, you've finally seem to have gotten in your head how important a tune is. I'm not impressed with your "friend's" 506 rear wheel HP though. If you consider a 20% parasitic loss for the blower (if it is a blower) then you're talking about 607 Real Crank HP on a stock 302 block. That's not what I would consider rocket science.

I'll use some very conservative numbers for this post and you can decide whether or not you see a problem here:

357 RWHP + 7lbs additional boost
15HP (conservative) per 1lb of boost = 105 additional HP
105HP - 10% drivtrain loss = 94.5 RWHP
357 RWHP + 94.5 = 451 RWHP
451 RWHP + 20% parasitic blower loss = 541 Crank HP + 10% drivetrain = 596 REAL crank HP

If we plug 20 HP per lb into that equation then it comes out to 656 REAL crank HP.

So how much HP capacity do you think the little 2 bolt is able to maintain?

I'm still trying to figure out how you're able to support 400 FWHP with 24 lb injectors and no FMU under boost.
