I don't know why but for some reason as soon as the pedal was pushed to WOT the car fell flat on its face and wouldn't keep going. (It revs up just find but as soon as there is a load it craps itself)

Here is what i have done sence the last dyno.. New plugs, new o2's, 42 lb injectors, new sampling tube for the injectors, new s-trim, and an inline 255 fuel pump to go along with my 255 intank.

We changed the settings in the chip a few times and it didn't help either.

One thing i did notice is that I put the bov on backwards... Would that cause anything, the tuner didn't seem to think so. I also found that my belt tensioner was pushing one belt into another.

Any ideas or thought? BTW, the little it did run there was a nice 12.0 AFR.

:OT: My girlfriend was just put on active duty today and will probably be going to IRAQ early January... Not really a good day at all :notnice:

Should have stayed NA.. j/k I am chasing down your NA331 times. Currently 331ci@ 2500 ft 12.5@111. 1.8 60ft. I need to change out the gears to 4.10's because the 3.55's were keeping me in 3rd. Also I haven't tuned it yet..

Now for your Strim issue, Does the car make power @ part throttle?? Have you tried it w/out the chip??

yes it is a CnL and i called the company directly to ask about the right color of tube...

I will try the voltage check on the TPS, I sorta think its the MAF because nothing has really been messed with besides the MAF when i changed sampling tubes.

I also just put in a new ignition module. I would think the problem would have to do something with either the spark or the fuel. Its almost gotta be electrical too?

And yes we also tried it without the chip, but when we did that we did it with spout wire out and 15 degrees timing... And it seemed to make power at partial throttle... (Im not 100% on this for my tuner was in the drivers seat)

Yea, I think its the MAF truthfully. I would sell the C&L and just but a Pro-M 80 if you can find no other problems.
The only thing is is that the fuel air ratio seemed be good. It wasn't really trying to run too rich or too lean... But your not the only that has told me that i should switch to a pro-m.

Couple questions, did you try driving it at all before taking it to the dyno? or did you just trailer it?
Also you said you installed the "bov" backwards.. did you mean bypass valve or do you have a BOV on there??

What happens when you rev it? You said the car craps itself when there is a load. What does this mean, what exactly happens?

yeah I meant bypass valve. I trailored it up there. With it in neutral it revs up just fine... but when you have it in gear and you hammer it stutters and the rpms won't raise up at all. It doesn't kill it but it won't rev.. The 20 ft i have drove it i have had no problems under normal accelleration.

Dave: Im not sure about the gap on the plugs. I just threw a new set of autolites 3923s in... (so whatever they come gapped at)

You need to pull the plugs and regap them @ .35. Your car could be blowing out the spark, which is a really BIG possiblility

Agreed. The FIRST thing I'd do would be to yank those plugs out and regap them like Silver88GT said. If I were a betting man, I'd put the bank on the fact that you are experiencing spark blow-out.

You sure the inline pump is working. Mine died one day and I had nothing but sputtering down low. I couldn't even get the car to move that much. I would have dynoed at 8HP that day. The ground had come undone on the inline. Two minutes later I was spinning threw 3 gears.

If noise is any indication that its working, Then it WAS... (Noisy as hell) I hear that thing over the exhaust.

We checked the fuel pressure and it seemed ok too.

I hope its something as simple as regapping the plugs... Sorta makes sence. The time boost would come on is the time it won't go any further.

My brother's '90 LX wouldn't rev past 5000 RPM with his S-trim, no matter what he gapped the plugs at. To get it working 100%, he had to install an MSD ignition and gap the plugs at 0.030.

Hopefully that is all you need, since it's an extremely inexpensive fix :D.

I would be happy if i made it too 5000 rpms right now. He hits it at around 2000 and it won't go any further. And I have a digital 6 ignition.

I assume that those plugs came gapped at .054 so hopefully this is my problem...

I was looking at the video i had taped and when he hit it there was some white smoke that was coming out (almost like it was too rich)
