Anyone tried these? I know I dont want Blowmasters anymore,
Cant stand the drone. What other mufflers are drone free and are louder
than stock but not louder than flow 40's. Yeah I already hit the search
button, just looking for some freash info.

super turbo's are pretty quite. it would be on the quiet side for my taste. proably not much loader than stock mufflers. you may want to look at the ultraflow's.

now when you say loud to you mean wot loud or loud as in drving down the road.

I personally would look towards borla turbo, magnaflow, dyomax ultraflow, slp powerflow. I am not a huge personal fan of magnaflows sound but the price is good. strait through tend to not have the same resonance as chambered mufflers.

what midepipe do you have?

My exhaust system is OEM except for the 18" chrome tips. :hail2:
As long as I dont hear the Flowmaster drone medium loud is fine, I want to
hear some low frequency rumble at low rpm, not really concerned about wot
sound. What is the difference in the sound of a strait thru compared to
a chambered muffler.

if you have the factory midpipe you can't make the car too loud.

a strait through muffler is basically a perforated core with fiberglass packing most of the time. a chambered muffler the sound is cancled out by chanbers welded in the muffler. chambers have resonace and certain frequency and tend to drone more. Strait through design usually will outflow chambered but at this hp level it is not very relevant.

most will say a chambered muffler has a bit hight pitch/raspier tone and a strait through is a bit deaper tone.

sound wise I would personally look at borla, bassani, dynomax ultraflow. those are all availible in stainless. have not heard the slp powerflows yet.

go to mustangexhaust.com and listen.

Yeah I think I need to go with the ultra flow strait thru as I have a TB and
Plenum waiting to be put on.

Its usually the exact opposite from my experience, lol.

Sitting next to a Mustang with (just for example) Flowmasters, and one with Magnapacks the Flowmasters are definatly deeper. The midpipe is the big determination on how rhaspy an exhaust is. But in general chambered mufflers are deeper, straight through usually a little higher. Ultraflow's can get pretty deep sounding though...

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if the Borla Turbo style mufflers are quieter than the Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers mentioned in this thread?

I have bassani catted xpipe with Borla stinger right now, and I have some LT headers on order, BUT lately i've been getting a lot of headaches and I'm looking to change to the QUIESTEST muffler possible. Even softer than stock if possible, but with good flow.

Update : The local muffler shop just happened to have some Magnaflows
on the shelf. so I had them welded in today, pretty much what I was looking
for, they are slightly louder and deeper sounding than OEM, definatly not as
loud as Flow 40's ( no drone at all ) They are a straight thru design and I can
feel a bit of a power increase. Tommorow I am putting on my C&L plenum and
FRPP 70mm TB and hope to feel even more hp. Any gain is all good.
