Minnesota, YAAA
Anyone ever even thought of converting your cars to burn E-gas? I think it is a higher octane than regular gass so maybe it would be a good idea to look at. Just wondering if any of you know anything about it. Also E-gas is going for about 85 cents a gallon in Minnesota right now. Wish ford was makin flexfuel Mustangs too. :damnit:

E-gas is 85% ethanol 15% gasoline and other crap. If you have ever seen a Ranger, Focus, or Taurus with the leaf emblem on the back, they can use e-gas or regular fuel. I believe E-gas is like 105 octane or something like that, I am prolly off on that though. I know there are some companies that do conversions.

That stuff isnt as efficient as regular gas. Around here they do 10% ethanol in the gas in the fall and winter months. MPG goes down along with power, but hey it is supposed to burn cleaner. So if it burns cleaner but you have to use more to get the same output, doesnt it kind of defeat the purpose??

No that is winter blend and you car is not made to run it well. they do that with the gasoline here too in the winter.
E-gas "FFV" vehicals get more hp and torque when running it. Thus with a conversion you would be running fine on it. I usualy find the stuff at Mobile/Exon stations.
