E6SE heads

Has anyone had these ported& polished? and how much extra horse can one get out of these? since my 86 gt has flat tops, I,m wary of going to E7,s.

You will get minimal gains from porting any E6 heads......they are a terrible design.

I always thought you wouldn't have any problems running E7's. E6's are trash.

My friend ran his 86 eng. with e7's with no clearance issues, go with the e7's the e6's are boat anchors

Well any head can be improved by porting... the E6's intake ports are smaller than E-7's they have abetter chamber though but it shrouds the intake valve pretty bad. If you lay back the wall so it's not so shrouded you stand to pick up alot more flow right there.

For simple ease of making more power without soending all that time on a rather poor head swap to e-7's & they will fit with no issues (typically)
