I just picked up a set of heads from POKAGEEK here on stangnet. they look almost new, and he only wanted 50 bucks ( thanks POKAGEEK ). Any how he had the valve springs shimmed to work with the B-cam that was running. I want to know if it will be ok leave the heads as is, as I am running the stock cam. I want to put these heads on next week if I have a chance but dont want to run into any unforseen problems.

Honestly I would call the tech line at Comp Cams or Crane and ask for their recommendation on valve springs. I think they would be very willing to help you make a decision about springs - replacing them now while the heads are off would be the way to go, and could probably be done for pretty cheap at a local machine shop. Just my $.02.:flag:

I also would at least take the heads to a machine shop and get the spring pressures checked for peace of mind. Shouldnt be too much. A reputable machine shop here cleaned, magnafluxed, lapped, and set up the springs for $60.00
