I just got a pair of heads off a '90 GT with 80,000 miles on them for free. If I do some DIY porting and get them milled down ( how much would that take to get to what I have now? ) would it be worth my while? Current heads are '67 289 2V. Also, what would be a good cam with this and my current setup?

With a decent P&P they'll support ~275-300hp, but the 289 heads are about the same. The only things E7s have over the 289s are hard seats and 14mm spark plugs. You'll have to have the E7s converted for stud rockers if you dont want pedestals. They will also need Thermactor plugs for the smog ports on the back of each head.

Engine Suggestions on an engine rebuild. Stock cam/GT40Ps or aftermarket on both for a fun weekend driver?
