Wow, because the guy just said he didnt want to spend money on heads, but your all telling him to get heads. This is the only beef I have with this site sometimes. Honestly, the E6 isnt as horrible as people make it out to be, but if you want to go with E7's then go for it. They are really no different than the E6's so they will swap right over. Your obviously doing it for a performance gain so if I was you I would get ported versions of the E7 and if you cant afford that then get the springs upgraded at least so you can run a cam later. If your not timid then I would buy a dremel and touch up the intakes and really the exhausts because they could use some help. You dont have to be a pro to port. Just look at the ports and smooth out any obstructions. As for aftermarket heads you can run the TrickFlow heads or any 1.94 intake valve head. As for cams stay under 224 duration and .530 lift. The E cam with stock heads works great. I had an 86 long block and with an RPM intake, exhaust, and E cam the car ran 13.8 which is pretty impressive for being almost stock. And if you want to run roller rockers, you can get a conversion kit from Summit that saves you the cost of machining the pedestal mounts.
