has anyone used the eagle f1 tires and if so where you happy with them and how good did they hook. I know nothings going to hook as good as a radial or slick. Also how are they on wet roads. Tirerack.com gave them preaty good rating but you cant always trust those.

I got mine 5 years a go. yes, they are now nearly bald...I thought they were fantastic. And the application was for a daily driver. Wanted something that would corner. Back then the hot tire to get was the SZ50. I took the car in to have the SZ50s installed and there was a Virginia State Trooper car on the lift. So I asked what he was doing. He was having new SZ50s removed to have Eagle F1s installed. I got the F1s. For my application the worked great.

How many miles would you say you got out of your Eagle F1's?

I have Dunlop SP 8000 tires, and I like them. About 3,000 miles on them and no major sign of wearing yet. Application is a daily driver.

My commute in Virginia was very short (7 miles) as is my commute in Maryland 3 miles). I drove it regularly, but rode the motorcycle to work in the summer mostly. I have a good 30k miles on them and the are down to the cords. So, I would say 20k. But I did not abuse them either. Once about 3/4 of the tread was gone, the performance loss was noticible. I cannot afford to replace them with the same, so have been shopping for the cheapest compromise.

Well they came on the Lightnings and Camaro SS's from the factory...they are a good all around tire...
