All of this just arrived yesterday:

-New FTI cam (big lift, relatively short duration)
-4.30 Motive gears
-PAC 1218 Beehive Pure Alloy Valve Springs
-Titanium reatiners upgrade

Everything will go on this winter when I mill the heads 0.020"

I also plan on opening up the headers a bit, matching the throttle body to the intake, ditching the 1" spacer and if I can port match the intake to the heads. It's going to start snowing here soon, so I'll have several months to do all of this before the spring. I'm sure going to miss driving this car to work everyday. I'd really like to get the gears in Saturday and go to the strip Sunday just to compare the 3.73's to the 4.30's, but doubt I'll have time.

Note the cool FTI sticker! It will be the only sticker on my car.

It would be nice if you could swap in the 4.30's and head back to the track. They will make a big difference alone.

The changes sound good. Whats the rpm range on the cam?

I'm currently running MT drag radials 275x55x15 with skinny's up front.
The MT's are 26.1" tall

With a 4.30 gear that puts me at 114mph at 6300rpm

At some point next year I'll probably change to a slick.

Ah, setting it up for 1/4 on the stickies. :nice: I went the opposite direction as I drive mine alot and gas prices are ridiculous. Plus that bottle in the trunk helps with the gear ratio difference on taller tires. :D

I'll still drive it to work whenever I can. I have a 20 mile commute on a 55mph highway so the gearing actually will work better. Right now with a G-Force T5 and 3.73's I'm in and out of 4th and 5th gear when traffic slows down.

Driving on the interstate to the strip will be different. With 4.30's and my MT's 2500rpm will be 73mph. No worries, I just got a new stereo to keep me happy on the drive.
