Early Frame rails

As we all know the front unibody front frame rails are a single thickness of metal from the firewall on back. Many are bent up from jacking up the cars there. Repair shops do it wit their lifts.
Has anyone thought of welding stronger metal plates to the bottom of these rails to give a foolproof jacking point? I am thinking of having this done so that I do not have to worry every time I have any work done. I have the looks of bent up frame rails on an otherwise nice car.
Feedback welcome.

Sounds like you are wanting a set of jacking rails

I have seen those jacking rails and they are nice, but in my case I would prefer to just sure up the existing frame rails so that you can jack up the car without damage. Someone should manufacture some nice sturdy frame rail covers to be used for this purpose. Actually Ford should have made them much stronger to begin with.
