Easy to shift...only when car is cold

When the car is cold it shifts so beautifully! I barely have to flick my wrists to slide the shifter into gear. I love it!!!

But.....once the car warms up the shifting gets much stiffer and more difficult to slide into gear. I have already tried adjusting the clutch via the manual. Also, when the car is warm the clutch pedal is not as smooth.

I have had the Triax, then the Pro50, and now the MGW. (The MGW is the best btw).
I am using Redline tranny fluid.

Do I need a firewall adjuster & quadrant?
If so, which one? Maximum Motorsports, Steeda?

Yeah, I agree on the "usually the other way around" theory.

Try a heavier oil in the tranny. Should be opposite if anything then.

Like what?
I have Redline in there for a while. Was that the wrong choice?
How about Royal Purple Synchromesh, will that make a difference?

Is Redline an ATF? The manual calls for an ATF in there, I use Mobil 1.

Do you have the TR3650 or T45? I thought Tremec recommended against using synthetic oils in the 3650 because it caused the syncros to swell. Maybe try motorcraft ATF or some base castrol dextron III/mercon atf. Your clutch shouldn't go out of adjustment once the transmission warms up, but it is possible a bearing is binding on you when the metal expands. I don't know, I'd start with the fluid first.

I have been using RP on all my fluid needs('cept Engine oil - I use Mobil 1 for that), and have had nothing but the good luck with it.

My trans is T-45, and seems to smooth shift out well enough.

Yes Redline D4 is ATF. That is what I'm using.
But, here is a post from another website about this issue.
Someone emailed Tremec about what oil to use with the T-45
(I think I'm f'd. )

"Dennis,
Our first choice for oil is Dexron III ATF. If you want a
synthetic oil, use Mobil 1 ATF. We have tested these oils and know they work. We do not recommend Redline D4. We have had problems with a number of synthetic oils being non-compatible with the synchronizer friction material used in the T45. The oil may be compatible with Dexron III, but that doesn't make the oil compatible with the synchronizers. If your transmission develops a shifting problem the synchronizers will have to be replaced. Some fluids cause the friction material to break down. You can actually crumble friction material with
your hands after use with the wrong fluid. Needless to say this does not enhance shift quality. If the transmission clashes and is not repaired soon, then a number of the gears may need to be replaced due to damaged clutching teeth from the clashing.

sounds like te problem i have when the clutch cable is stretched too much. not saying that IS your problem, but here is my situation and see if it applies to you.

in the morning when its cold the clutch is fine and the tranny shifts ok. once i get it hot, and put around 40+ miles on it everything starts to expand and loosen up. i have to push the clutch down further to shift into gear, and have to really slam it to the ground to get it to pull enough for it to allow the gear change. once its cold it goes back to normal. thiis was fixed by a new cable, quadrent and adjuster for me...

however, how far from the floor is the pedal when the clutch actually engagues? right at the floor? midlength, or near the top/resting position? if its right at the floor, then its prolly the same issue... if the clutch engagues 1/2 way or higher then its prolly something else.
