Eaton M112 (Lightning supercharger) boost rating?

anyone know how much boost an eaton m112 will make. Im thinking of custom making one to work with my 5.0 or 5.8. how much boost can i get out of it though? Are these blowers of any quality?

Probably 15#. Just a guess tho. If you get it to work out let me know. I tried bolting an M90 on my stang a few years ago. It would have cost tons on $$$$

The Lightning blower makes 8 psi stock. You can go as high as 15 before you are overspining it.

Boost is going to be relevant to the amount of restriction in the inlet and outlet paths of the engine. While they may make 8psi on a 5.4L lightning, you may come up with a totally different figure with a 302/351. Higher boost pressure may just indicate less restriction in the intake path, or more restriction in the exhaust path. Remember, more boost equals more heat, so overdriving it too much may actually be detrimental to power output.

I’ve seen blown cars with intake and exhaust mods actually loose a couple of PSI, yet continue to make more power. Lower boost pressure doesn't necessarily mean that they’re going to be making any less power. It just means that their engines are breathing more efficiently with less restriction, while creating less heat and in the process.

You are both right. Let's say you put a smaller pullie on a blower (ie spinning faster) you create more boost NOT volume. Typically a power increase. To increase the volume you would have to increase the physical size of the blower. This would increase the CFM flowrate. Once again typically a hp increase.
