EBAY RETURN WARNING!!!

Hello All,

Not sure where to post this EBAY warning.

I thought I would try the cheap S/S Headers for SBF 302 for $95.00.
Contacted seller Undergarage and they assured me that these were the same as BBK S/S Headers just un branded.
Headers arrived. they look GREAT! Stainless Steel was nice and Quality looked good.
Tried installing Headers and cylinder 4&5 bolt holes don't line up.
Contacted seller About DEFECTIVE Headers. Seller wanted me to drill out holes and offered discount. NO WAY! I said.
Messaged seller I wanted Refund or Replacement. After Days of messaging seller finally offered a return and told me to select "DID NOT LIKE"
I messaged back Why not choose "ITEM DEFECTIVE" seller gave all kinds of B. S. So I chose "Did not like" and shipped back to seller.
Seller said Headers were used and deducted 50% and refunded 45.00.
I have filed Ebay complaint. Doubt I will win.

Bottom line is NEVER select "DID NOT LIKE" If 'Defective', Even if SELLER tells you to!!!! Select "DEFECTIVE"
Ended up Buying BBK 1 5/8 Headers which fit perfectly even When using Header mounting Studs. Stud Nuts are tight but I managed to get the nuts on the studs.

The [good] news is that you're here now. We're great at helping people spend their money.


So, do you own these crap Chinese headers now? If so, take your time, measure 5 times and mark the header flange. Drop it off to a machine shop and get it drilled. Check the flange for [flatness] with a metal ruler before you install.

Use a quality aftermarket header gasket and quality 12 pt. bolts with Red Loc-tite.

Or... Scrap them and buy a quality set from say... Anderson Ford Motorsports

Fwiw-I have had a few sets of name brand headers(bbk,Mac,etc.) and I’ve had to persuade many of em with a Christmas tree bit in a drill press… lol

I got mine used,a nice BBK chrome set all blued from use. Paid less then Chinese crap, I used acid toilet bowl cleaner then 2000 degree clear coat and finally DEI lava infused header wrap.They fit perfectly. So a good used part is the best buy. That's my two cents.

That’s frigging awful, am sorry to hear. Looks like an assembly line of destruction created these. Quantity, not quality. Sad.
Hard these days with costs going through the roof- but, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
I agree with NickyB, used Shorties are readily available, many going w/ longtubes- nice BBK shorties for 100$/BRO- bring a tight gasket, straightedge, once function is established, make them functionally resilient.
