Just thought I'd post my story. On june 2nd, I purchased a set of machined aluminum 2003 cobra rims on ebay from the seller moore9911, a.k.a. the ebay store O E Wheels. Well I was waiting for two weeks for the rims to arrive, nothing. Finally, I get an email saying the rims were backordered, and for me to call to see what I wanted to do. I called, and they said it would be about a 3-4 week wait, and they would give me a $30 refund. Fine, I can deal with that. 3 weeks later, I call again. This time, they say "Oh, the machined aluminum ones? Who told you 3-4, we get those from overseas, and they haven't even shipped yet. It should be a couple of months.". I said no, I will not do that, and they upgraded me to the polished aluminum version of the same wheel. The guy promised me 2 weeks tops, and they would be shipped. Today, I call again and ask about the status of my order. The guy first says "Wow, it's been over a month since you ordered?" Yeah, that's how I feel :notnice: Anyways, after being put on hold a couple of times, he tells me he just checked with his parts guy and the polished aluminum won't be there for another 1-2 weeks! I said that's ridiculous, and there's no way I'm waiting that long. Finally after some debate, I ended up just saying ship me some 17" Hyper Silver Cobra R's, those will be fine. He said he put them in the cart, and they will ship tomorrow, but we'll see :bang:

Moral of the story: make sure you know what you might be getting yourself into when you order from this company

I dunno man... He has 21848 transactions with a 98.8% positive. That took a lot of work to attain.

Sucks your transaction went poorly but statistically you are way in the minority there.

Personally I would never EVER consider putting eBay rims on my car EVER.

Also, I do not see any recent negative feedback. Be sure you give it to him.

I bought my rims through them, I have no issues with him. Got the wheels a week later and they were exactly what I had ordered/wanted. Yours is an isolated incident I believe, especially with his extremely long positive feedback list.

i bought my saleen wheels from him, shipping took about a week

but i couldnt argue for the price

i was missing 2 centercaps, called and they had a set shipped out to me (no charge of coarse) overall it was a good exp with them

Ebay should to presell period. If you do not have item in hand, you should not beable to sell it.

+1, and if you contact them to let them know your leaving bad feedback because of it, they should give a damn. I've seen some pretty bad things posted on other sites about the customer service, not necessarily the quality of their product. Good luck.

I want to leave bad feedback, but the thing is if they leave bad feedback back to me, it would devastate my rating. I have like 23 transactions, they have 21848, so 0.01% to them is like 4% to me. I wonder if they will leave me bad feedback if I leave them bad feedback, even though I'm not a bad customer?

Also, as far as putting "Ebay rims" on my car, I won't just throw money away buying similar rims from a different source, just to say I got them from somewhere. I know they are similar in quality as authentic rims. If you can look at rims and tell the difference between "Ebay rims", rims from a store like american muscle, and authentic rims, you must have quite an eye :nice:

The only thing that looks better on the OE FR500's is the cast in Ford Racing logo. The wheel itself looks the same to me, & honestly I wouldnt buy the real ones because they dont make 18x10 deep dish...

That is the power of the eBay seller. I learned real quick as a seller that you never give the buyer feedback until he gives it to you.

Its not about being able to tell by looking at them, its about:
-quality of construction
-quality of coatings
-roundness
-quality of chrome plating if applicable
-fitment

Ive never had any problems with mine in the year & a half Ive been running them. I put about 15k on them with no issues, other than a couple of scratches. If ford would get on the ball & realize that Mustangs look better with staggered wheels maybe I would buy some if they made deep dish 18X10 or 17X10.5 rears. And from what Ive seen knock off wheels seem to be more popular than Ford Racing anyway, & I havent heard any horror stories about wheels being out of round.

I have heard about some of the wheel coating not matching , & if i was ever to get chrome wheels (which i wouldnt) I would have to go with an OE or an expensive aftermarket wheel, because replica wheel chrome looks horrible. So you are right about the coating & chrome not being the best, but I guess I got a good batch because mine looks fine.

That's cool y'all buy what you want I will stick with FRPP if I ever decide to change rims which is highly unlikely.

I am good with what I have:

Ebay now lets you comment bad feedback, I would also report them if that scenario happened. Worst case scenerio, ebay reps get involved and you both mutually withdrawal the feedback. It's the only thing you can do with ebay which sucks.

yeah, what I've decided upon was leaving a "good" rating, but a bad comment. that way, they get their little gold star that matters so much, but when people actually check out the feedback they will read the truth.

I had an order with them a month ago. They told me the rims would take 2 weeks. They showed up in one week exactly. The pony center caps were a very tight fit, but everything else was great.

They've got a pretty good record for selling on eBay. I'm guessing your experience is about 1 in 100.

I got my "eBay wheels" from them and have had them since last February. I am completely satisfied with the chrome finish. They sent me two sets of centercaps (Cobra and Pony) and they look like stock. I think it took me less than a week to receive my wheels once I won the auction.
