ECU WIRING!!!??? pod install!?

ok so i want to install an a/f gauge and ive been seeing that the best way to install would be the puter...I looked at the wiring diagram on veryuseful.com but i still dont understand which wire to connect it to..i know the black wire comming off the seonsor is the signal wire so should i just connect it to that? I want to be able to get a good reading and i dont see how connecting it to one of the o2 sensors could give a good reading?
Also i just purchased the 3 pod full pillar and was wondering how to put it on if i have to drill holes or does it snap over the old one? the instructions that came with it arent very specific!!

its not going to read correctly with the readings from the stock o2s. youre just going to get a bunch of flashing lights. to get the real a/f ratio in order to tune the car properly you need a wideband o2 sensor in the exhaust. correct me on this if im wrong someone

i forgot to add i have a 90 gt 5.0! not that it matters much but if someones going to give me the pincodes that could help knowing the year...As for a wideband o2 sensor im not really particular in spending that much money now maybe a little further down the road when i get some serious engine work done but for now id just like to have the gauges connected and working the best for my configuration...im just getting accesorized now so when i save up enough for a decent pony ill have all i need!

Along with a wideband sensor, you also need a gauge that can read the wideband sensor output. Basically the autometer gauge works only with narrow band, so you have to get a "real" wideband A/F ratio gauge.

so whats your advice for the meanwhile...I already have a autometer phantom gauge so what now...and does anyone have help with the pillar install!!!!???

My 2 pod required drilling, but I thought that the 3 pod was a complete replacement part. Sound right?

im with droptop - i dont think they specifically make pods for us vert guys. my two pod overlayed the stocker. i think, as he said, the 3 pod should replace the stock A pillar trim.

a lot of guys use a toggle switch to go back and forth between the banks. try a search, it has been covered often as to which wires and the colors you tap into.

i ended up just replacing the whole pillar...I ran into problems running my fuel gauge but figured it out and it works nice! i put some blue LED's in the gauges it looks amazing!
