i m,ight be able to get a deal on these for my 88 gt and was wondering if anyone has experienced it. I have a trick flow track heat intake with 65 mm t-body and full exhaust. what kind of gains might i see with these heads and a tfs stage 1 cam? thanks. also which rockers, 1.6 or 1.7??

My friend uses a set on his car. He had the Performer 5.0 intake and "e" cam and ran as quick as 12.6@108. He originally dynoed at about 275/300 range. I would use 1.6 rr's with a non stock cam.

just so you know there's a difference between the 6037 and the ones you referenced from the edelbrock site (60379) the 60379's are the newer version and are good for 20hp more on average overall than the older ones. As for the heads themseleves the quality is great, the springs hold up to .575 max lift, and they make good power. The newer ones aren't that far off from the afr 165 counterparts in flow #'s. Not sure but with that cam and 1.7's it pretty close to having p/v clearancee as an issue, it will yield .530/.542 max lift with 1.7rr's.

I have the 60379's with stock cam, and they are still awsome. They pull hard top end. I cant wait to get out to the track and see what they do. I'm just waiting for tires, and a throttle body.

I'm going to be getting the Performer RPM's (don't know the number). The "new" ones flow almost 240 @ .500 lift......thats close to the AFR's. I'm also going to put a Comp Cams XE270HR in as well as 1.6 RRs......It should go pretty good after that

How is your idle and low end with the stock cam?

I love the way the idle sounds, sounds like I have a cam. I also have stock gears, so the low end is a bit week, but past 3500 rpm it screams. I dont think I lost much low end, but I know I NEED gears!!!
