I all but finished the support I made for the EFI computer. I mounted the computer and all of the other associated parts to it and then fastened down the wiring harness. It will mount under the cowl, one ear will attach to the right side lower wiper pivot mounting bolt. The flange on the front the of the bracket lies against the firewall, it will attch with two sheet metal screws. You can see photos on page seven of my CarDomain link below.
I figured out how to use the existing bell crank for my throttle linkage. I did not want to convert to cabe, trying to keep as much of the vintage look as possible. Anyway, I had an 1 1/2" extension welded on the arm of the bell crank that connects to the throttle body. I used 10x32 size sherical rod ends at both the throttle body and on the bellcrank. These are then connect by 10x32 threaded rod that will be covered with some 1/4 OD stainless tubing to add strength. This system does not have much clearence between the arm on the throttle body and the fuel rail. Using the parts I did, I was able to fit this all together and still have plenty of room. I still need to figure out a throttle return spring system. There is no way to attach one from the front, so I may drill a small hole in the bellcrank arm and attach a spring there to the back of the intake.
Fuel pump mounting and some plumbing will be tackled on Sunday. I plan to run the fuel lines under the hood before I start passing wires thru from the inside of the car.
Assembly has started, well sort of, I at least feel I am making progress.
