EFI intake hose interference

I searched the forums but didn't find a answer that really helped, so I'll throw this out there. For those of you that put EFI in your Mustang, what did you use for an intake tube? I suspect that I may have to delete the EGR, though I have seen pictures (MustangsPlus website) that still have the EGR there. But even if I do, it sure seems like there will be interference...shock tower and alternator. The intake tube I currently have is the one included with the Ford Racing computer/mass airflow sensor kit.

I responded to your email and sent a couple of photos. It is possible to fit the EGR spacer and the stock intake tube in a '65. Hope the pics help.

here another idea to route the intake tube.
I use no EGR and a custom cold air intake.

On my 68 I used a 5.0 Explorer 90deg. adapter to face the throttle body to the front. I also removed the EGR and used a EGR simulator.

I used Ron Morris Performance intake tube. I removed the EGR for extra space. k&N Makes all sorts of filters. Just measure then check the book or website.
