After a few phone calls, several hours of searching the net and forums, and posting in 5.0 tech I still need some help!

The 5.0 I'm using has a 70mm edlebrock performer intake and throttle body on it. I bought Ron Morris's intake tube but it will not fit over the 70 mm throttle body. I called him back and to be honest he wasn't much help! I'm thinking I need a cold air intake, but I have no idea what will fit. Are there differant size intake tubes? I know it nees a fairly tight bend to clear the shock tower. I am using Ron Morris's EGR elimantaor so I get a little extra room. Any recomendations??

It's not as nice looking as a hard intake tube, but the stock Mustang rubber hose/elbow fits over a 70MM throttle body with only a little stretching. Another option may be to use a silicone "turbo hose" to make the connection. They're pretty stretchy - I was able to get an elbow with a nominal 3" ID to slide over my 70mm throttle body (which measures more like 3-1/4" in diameter) with just a little grunting and persuasion. Summit carries Turbonetics hoses, or you can order directly from www.turbohoses.com. I've used both, and they appear to be the same construction. Hope that helps, a little...

I a used BBK intake tube & K&N filter, works w/my stock MAF or the 70mm Cobra I have. Though come to think of it, I havent tried the 70mm in the car, just trial fitted on the bench.

Initially, I used the stock rubber hose, and it worked fine for a year. This winter, I installed a Novi1000, and used a turbo hose connector with a discharge tube that I fabricated. So, I've used both - either one works just fine.
