Long story short, i wanted a good shock tower support. After converting to EFI i ended up removing the original stamped-style bars (they didnt clear the intake). After much debate ...and some saving, i decided on the Maier bar as it advertised to be EFI friendly.
I'm sure it might be, for the stock efi intake, but not for mine! So, i ended up cutting up my brand new (very solidly built) toy and moving the driverside bar outwards.

Had to remove one of the hinge springs+ arm to make it clear(not pictured). Its a tight squeeze with powerbrakes+ booster + larger intake !

Anyways, just posting incase someone in the future comes accross this issue

Mr woodster,

Nice install, I had to do something very similar to make mine fit my GT40 intake.

Off topic, but what CAI did you use? I have not been able to find one from a 5.0 that would fit between the towers and have been using the stock rubber elbow.

Hey there, as far as the intake goes Its made by BBK, not sure of the exact kit, but i *think* its just the standard 87-93 mustang kit. I purchased it from Brothersperformance a number of years ago.

Thanks, I will check them out.

Just in case you start having any of the same issues I had...you may want to build a box around your air filter. Prop wash from the fan on the alternator gave me terrible idle surge until I enclosed the air filter.

It also lowered my intake temperatures pretty drastically.

Thanks again
