took advice of a buddy of mine on here went and picked up some jet extensions, dont need gas sloshing out from under when I launch

Dial her in on the dyno to ensure your a/f ratio is where it needs to be.

It's money well spent.

I will, good advice

on the new setup Im trying just for kicks to estimate my 1/4 mile until I can run it

heres the mods:

5 speed
Edelbrock Performer RPM II intake
Holley 650 cfm double pumper/mechanical secondaries
GT40P heads
TFS1 cam
Holley blue electric pump
blaster 2 coil
U/D pullies
electric fan
a/c, smog delete
FRPP shorty headers
O/R hpipe
Mac Pro dumps
3.55 gears
aluminum driveshaft
weld draglites
Pro 50 short throw shifter

I have a very similar combo,depending on traction you should/could run a low 13/high 12 at over 100mph pretty easily.

Yep,on street tires and a stiff suspension(no weight transfer) ,my best is 13.40@104.3.

Looks good....how much do you think you've had to put into the conversion vs. just forging ahead with the EFI set up?

Well, actually selling off the efi stuff Ive actually made a little more than I had to spend (at this point)

No extensions,box stock 650 double pumper,i set the idle,adjusted the idle mixture and thats it.It runs good wheather its 40 degrees out(not that i drive it in that temp too often) or 95 degrees out.2 years like that and always starts and i can drive it anywhere.

do you have electric/manual no choke? I had a manual choke on mine but took it off. It starts fine without it just give it gas for a few seconds

No choke,2 pumps hold it few seconds and your good to go.

mine just fired up and ran no prob in 10 degrees. so big noticable difference in ur performance? im ready for this spring so i can get mine out and play w the new mods snow sux!!!!

I sawed the choke horn off mine this past summer...it still starts just fine when it's cold out. Usually it'll run a few seconds by itself and die and then you pump a few times and it fires over again and you just goose it for 20 seconds and it'll idle fine even with the big cam. People exagerate the carb cold weather problems a lot...granted EFI is still better, carbs still aren't a big deal. I don't even change the jets in mine in the winter because i don't drive it enough to bother.

I used the stock lines from the pump forward, but for the tank I took out the efi pump and fabricated a pickup in its place. Its a Holley blue pump. Im going to sump it soon

Under the hood I took the stock bracket that used to brace the fuel lines to the engine and fabbed it a little and moved it to the fenderwell to brace the line going into the FPR
