Im swapping my 86 5.0 to a carb, and im working on the fuel pickup area, i removed the fuel pickup out of a 84 carbed tank and want to put it in my 86 tank, it fits, but is a completly different shape than the old efi pickup, will this still be ok? or did they change the actual tank internals between 1984 and 1986 models? any help is awesome, and if anyone knows what to do with the 3 wires that stick through the firewall (after removing the efi harness they were left over) i know they have to do with the fuel pump, because someone sent me the anwser before the site went down.
(btw i dont wanna just put the 84 tank in the 86 because both of the cars have the "custom" easy access fuel pump holes in the trunk already)
