I know this has been covered tons of times but, I am wondering if I need a EGR delete plate or not, my lower intake has no egr port so no exhaust it coming up through there, and I am going to be putting Fox Longtubes on it and do a Fox TB conversion. So do I really need the plate or can I get away with just bolting the fox TB to the intake. The intake is a GT-40 upper, ported explorer without egr passage. The reason for all this is, I was going to leave all the egr stuff on it, and use an adapter for the intake, but while trying to put the egr on the tube broke in half, so I tried to remove the nut from the stock header, and the darn thing has stripped threads on it, and I can get the one loose from the egr itself, so I am fed up with the egr crap, How do I go about deleteing the egr function from the puter? And what will happen if I just tape down the egr plunger half way. And leave the puter alone?
