egr question

im probably going to order some summit racing headers for my 94 cause they seem a little better than factory..
so anyways i was wondering if i can plug off the egr on my intake and on the header cause i dont really want that stuff on there.. but i dont want my engine to start pinging or something im just wondering what i should do with all that???? thanks

It shouldn't be a problem, but you will get a check engine light if you unplug the sensor. I just rigged the sensor so that it was open half way and left it tucked in there.

You might get some light throttle pinging too...
