Hey everyone,

I'm gathering parts and will be sending them off to my powder coater next month. My question is, will these two pin holes leak past the hose? Is there a fix, like JB weld?

Thanks

You could always pull the tubes out, drill/tap for 1/8" or 1/4" NPT and install a hose barb.

Is that a stock EGR spacer? I would think those are readily available to just go and get another one. I wouldn't even spend time trying to repair that one

Put the hose clamp as close to the spacer on the part of the nipple that still seems robust and it will likely be fine. I'd be tempted to put a little JB weld on the pinholes and sand it smooth. Always a risk of pieces breaking off and entering the cooling system but i think the risk is low.

Been a while since I had a stock one, but remember boring 1 over size for a 65mm opening and holy :poo: that casting had voids in it. Still thinking cutting it back and just flaring it is easiest don't even really need to flare it, there press fit so a little heat and they should come out, new barb , press in or tap it and run a brass barb. Honestly haven't run colant in a spacer for years but understand if your going for stock look. I just don't like JB weld near coolant lol too many flash backs of being young and and patching up beaters with hack fixes. though it did last moat a winter on my K car beater when I was a teenager until the radiator blew up in a snow storm
