I'm getting springs for my Hatch. I don't want it slammed. Just lower it a little over an inch.

The choice's are:

H&R sport springs

Eibach Pro-Kit

It has KYB GR-2 Struts And Shocks. Also Has Saleen Racecraft Quad Shocks.

And AFS wheels Cobra Rims 17x8 Front and 17x9 Rear.

They lower about the same. Is there a difference in the kits? I know Eibach is Great from experience and I know H&R is great from experience. But they were not on a Mustang.

Are there any pro's or Cons?

I went with H&R Sport Springs 4 yrs ago, they lowered the car 1" and it's still at that height today.

What is the offset of your rims?

Do you have any rubbing problems?

I'm leaning toward H&R springs as well. Your car looks great. It's at a very nice height. Very clean looking.

The offset is +28 (5-7/8")
I had a very slight rubbing issue at full lock the rims rubbed slightly on the A arms. I installed a $5 clip and I've never had a problem since.
Thanks for the complement.

I got a set of AFS Wheels Cobra R's style 4 lug
They are 17x8 +12mm offset up Front 4.95 backspacing
And 17x9 +24mm offset in the Rear 5.95 backspacing

The Fronts Don't rub at all. The Rear were real close to the Quad shocks. So I bought a thinner set of Saleen Racecraft N2 Quad shocks and had no problems after that. I got over 3/4 of an inch clearance with them.

AFS also put 255/40/17 Tires on them. Up front and in the rear. I don't like that size up front on the 17x8's. They are to tall and should not be on the 8inch wide rim. But they fit. I will be getting 235/45/17's up front when I lower my car with the H&R springs so I don't run into any rubbing problems at all.
