I have Eibach Sportlines on my 02 GT with 17X9 rims and 275/40/17 tires all the way around. When I go up my driveway or big bumps, my rear tires rub the fender well up on the corners and sometimes cutting them or removing small chunks. What can I do? Do I need to raise the car with a pro kit or will adding Tokico HP Struts do any good?

I dont know how yours sits, but when i had stock shocks with my sportlines, the back sat like there was a dead body in the trunk. I replaced the rear shocks with a set of cheap ones from the autoparts store. It raised the back end about an inch, and made the stance look awesome. I dont think you're gonna have any luck getting your tires not to rub. Just be happy you dont have 315's in the back and 275's up front like me. Those bitches rub.

Good luck man. BTW did you know the 05's fenders are ROLLED?? i was like 'woah' cuz mine needs that lol

Sometimes the rubbing is caused more by the sideways (lateral) movement of the rear end than the up and down.

If you notice the wheel well clearance is greater from the factory on yours than on the new 05's. This is due to the addition of a Panhard Bar which limits the lateral movement thus the tires do not rub. The tire and wheel size you have is what's on the Cobra's but they have a fixed IRS differential so it does not have the lateral movement problem.

So what this is leading up to, is you may be able to cure your rubbing by stabilizing the lateral movement with the addition of a Panhard Bar if you do not want to change the ride height from where it is. Either that or raise the back end up using under/over spring spacers or use the weight jacker style lower control arms moving the car up until it stops rubbing.

Yes they will stiffen it but it will not effect the ride height.

Do you still have your iscolater pads?
Try using a set of poly urathane's,they are harder compared the factory's ,and will lift the stang roughly 1/4 inch more.
I run sportlines aswell, and have no issue of wheel rub in the rear.

by the looks of your avatar, it seems that you may have spacers? I have the sportlines and go up and down my driveway (with a little dip before it) and I don't rub.
