My dad was saying how an electric fan would not work properly with my AC because the fan I have has a "coolant" as he says in it. I completely disagreed with him and said the electric fan would be better. Since the fan is connected to pulley I guess thats why he is saying it but thats just because that turns the fan etc etc... Who is right here? Getting an electric fan would not affect my AC at all, right?

you should wire the new electric fan so that when the a/c is turned on, the fan comes on (as most OEM applications do). the fluid your dad refers to is the silicone in the fan clutch. the mech fan obviously turns no matter what - the amount of lock up depends upon temps (a/c turned on at low coolant temps dont make the fan spin more). the fan simply locks more as temps increase (which happens when a/c is on).

for the record, neither of you is wrong. i dont want to see you and dad duke it out. :)
