ELECTRIC FUEL PSI AND N20 PSI GAUGE ?'S

what does the sweeo stand for? i am wanting to buy them from summit they are the autometer but it says that i can get it in short sweep or full sweep...270 sweep..whats this mean?!? i would like to save my money and buy the mechanial but then i cant run them in the car right??(nhra rules)

All the Autometer electric 0-100 psi FP guages are full-sweep (how far the needle on the guage travels, 270 degrees) and they all run about $190. I hated to spend that much but I had to have an inside mount. If you want the cheaper mechanical guage you will have to do an outside mount. Or you could look at Stewart Warner, they make an elec. 0-100 psi guage that is only $80. My buddy has one in his Mach 1 and it looks great. The sender is much bigger than Autometer though.

ohhh..so all the sweeps should work as good as each other..its just a preference issue then?? i want the insiade mount i got a custom gauge plate that holds 2 2&1/16 gauges 3 switches..moves the radio to where the hvac was..and the hvac where the radio was...so i NEED gauges inside...are they easy to install?

The full sweep is much easier to read for fuel pressure. It has 1lb increments on the guage, the only way they could get all 100 little lines on the guage was to make the needle swing a full 270 degrees. The 1lb increments are a must IMO, because a pound or two of fuel pressure can make a big difference. But the only Autometer electric fuel guages that will work for you are close to $200. The Stewart Warner might be a better option. That's what I would buy if I didn't already have 2 Autometers installed in my car.

thanx for the input..yea i dont wanna spend 400 on 2 gauges..was thinkin more like 200 but i cant even find a electric n20 gauge less then 225!!
