Electrical Noob Needs Help...

Have a 2001 Mustang GT and I am working on installing a Dakota Digital Oil Pressure gauge.

Working on getting power to the gauge and let me say, I HATE WIRING!

I was hoping to not hack into the wiring harness, would rather use an add a circuit. The problem is the add a circuit is limited to 10 amps max.

I can't seem to find a circuit in the fuse panel that has the required 10 amp or less fuse and is switched rather than constantly powered.

Seems all of the circuits in the panel that have 10 amp and under fuses have constant power.

Could really use some help here...

Thanks for the input guys.

Upon further research and input from other forums as well as calling Cooper Bussmann tech support, I found that it is the new circuit that is limited to 10 amps because of the size of the wire pigtail.

I wound up putting the add a circuit in the circuit for the gauge cluster which is 15 amps and used a 5 amp fuse for the added circuit.

The install went smooth after that. I still have some loose ends to tie up like painting the steering column pod to match as well as trying to find the break in the wire for the factory oil pressure gauge which is why I installed this one. Neither is a high priority right now but I will eventually get to them...
