Hi all, my 2002 Mustang GT has been giving me some problems recently. Within the last two weeks I repainted my front fenders myself, but while I had been painting them the car was out of cover and got rained on. I didn't think much of it at first but then I realized my CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module) was uncovered and could have possibly suffered damage.

When I put the car back together nothing seemed wrong and it drove for 2 days with no problems at all. But on the second day my dome light fuse popped as well as my reverse light fuse. Then, my car started sputtering in a drive thru line later that day. Then it made a few huge loping sounds as if it had massive cams. After that it died and did not start again. The car cranks but does not get fuel, therefore it does not start. I had to push it out of the drive through with my girlfriend (bless her poor heart). I switched the key to the in position and cannot hear the fuel pump priming.

I had just replaced the fuel pump 3 months ago and it has been running strong so I do not believe it is the fuel pump that is the problem. So this made me check the fuel pump fuse, which was blown. I replaced the fuse and still nothing. So I used a multimeter to check the power and I got power all the way up to the CCRM but nothing after the CCRM. So I ordered a new one, which I will be replacing next week. But I don't believe that this would cause the dome light and reverse lights to go out.

- What could the problems be with those fuses inside the car?

- And what could have made this problem occur? (Rain water or unrelated short circuit)

- What can I do to ensure this problem does not occur again?

Vehicle information: 2002 Mustang GT 4.6l V8 hard top, no major mechanical or electrical modifications have been done

To better answer your questions I need to know IF there is power in and out of fuse F2.34 and F2.2 with the key in the run position. Use a KNOWN good ground.

I will be able to check those pins when I get back to my house this weekend because I am out of town for work right now. Would you be able to tell me what the two possibilities could be depending on if there is power at those points or if there is not?
