how much does elevation effect you 1/4 mile time??

Where i race its 3000 above sea level and it was about 95 degrees out this friday when i raced also was humid too cause a storm had passed by not sure how much humidity, anyway want to know how much elevation can effect my time

Evil281....up here in Denver, my car as well as my buddies (within 5 of your hp/tq numbers) run anywhere between 14.8-15.2 depending on if its a good run or not. I'd take 14.2 any day! :)

sweet i thought i was sucking it up cause i see all these people get in 13's with same power or sometimes less than mine, thought i was an idiot

I know at the track in Denver (around 5k above sea level, and some really nasty DAs sometimes above 10k) an N/A car will run about 1 second slower.

My corrected Dyno numbers N/A were 265/310 or something, uncorrected it was 210/260 or something similar.

Supercharged cars you lose about 2lbs of boost between CO and sea level. So it's harder to gauge as the dyno doesn't SAE correct for boost. I was getting 6lbs and 360/360 corrected, here in England now I'm getting almost 9lbs and I'd guess I'm a lot closer to if not over 400 at the wheels.

Turbo cars still suffer, but not as bad. I think it's around 5 10ths or so for cars over 400 rwhp the smaller turbos maybe a full second.

I'll have track times this weekend if it doesn't rain so I'll know what the car is running in the 1/4 at 100 feet above sea level vs 5k+
