I resent what dealers do. But if I were a dealer, I would also want to make as much money as possible.

Ya know what, we live in a free market society. Things like this will happen from time to time, just like you also have the option to wait a little, get an X-plan, A-plan, or even better price with a good low interest loan down the road. I certainly didn't see anyone bitchin' when Ford offered the 0/72 deal to clear out '06s a couple weeks ago and saying it's not fair that Ford and the dealers can't make their standard profit. If that's OK to take advantage of a dealer and Ford when sales are down, you better accept it when they have a hot product that they can sell above MSRP. If not, you wind up with a Communist society that gives you bread lines and Tatras.

I remember being at the International Auto Show in Washington, D.C. the year the Honda S2000 was introduced. It was a cool looking vert sports car with a hot little engine. My dad and I were looking at the window sticker while one of the Honda reps walked over and told us that we would more than likely not see one on a lot for this price. He was mentioning how the "dealer markup"(first time I had heard of that term)was anywhere from $10-20K over MSRP depending on where in the country you go...higher in warmer climates such as Cali, Texas and Fla... I don't need a car that damn bad!!!! If I had the money it would be different being able to buy the latest toys on the market. As long as there are special models available and the people with money to afford them they will go for crazy prices...

Buy a Ford GT...it has no dealer markup!!! LOL
