Emanual Hospital toy run '08

I think I'm always the first person to ask every year, because I love doing this... Anybody know if/when the toy run to Emanual Children's Hospital is happening this year?

I have two stangs to bring this year, I'll be in my "new" notch and I'll put my Dad in my 7-Up.

Ok all you secret Santa's. It's time for the Toy run to Emanuel Childers Hospital.When you ask? Saturday December 13th .So hear is the schedule for the day. We will meet for Breakfast @ 8:30am at Elmer's pancake house in Delta park. From I-5 it is exit 307. The address is 9848 N. Whitaker Rd Portland OR. 97217. From there we will be traveling to Portland Meadows 1001 NE.Schmeer Rd Portland OR 97217 about 2 blocks.This is a wonderful event & a chance to give a little something to someone truly in need of a bright spot in there day. The gift's that are donated are given out year round to the children as they get settled into there room and hopefully gives them some comfort. Also this is a time to give something to mom & dad as so many times they go without the basics because they are putting all of there time,energy & effort into there children. This is the not fun part is this invitation! This is a very somber time for these family's as some of the children that come to this wonderful Hospital will not be going home again. So we need to give our all in support of this endeavor that was started by the Family Rod & Customs car club & show up in force as we always do. So what to bring! A new unwrapped gift from infant to 18 for boys or girls or both the more the merrier. For mom's & dad's maybe bath things or knickknacks for dad well dad's are easy you can give them anything as long as you don't call them late for dinner.

Just heard from Family Fun Rod & Customs that afterwards they are going to cruise over to Beaches in Vancouver afterwards. I see that there are 157 views for this post. I bet Repostyle is the only one that will show up. So sad. Come join us for the kids. It will change your outlook on life.

So at this moment it's looking like my stangs may stay in the stable, but i'll still be there in my truck at least. I hope the snow holds off....

Bumpity bump.... This is tomorrow people! Look alive! The forecast is showing snow, but it looks like it might hold off long enough for this event. Maybe just a little rain in the morning. Let's show our support for the children, a little rain and cold for a couple hours is nowhere near what these kids have to go through on a daily basis. Bundle up, put some hot chocolate in a thermos, and bring the toys! Don't want to bring the hot rod in the rain? Don't worry about it, it's about the support, and the toys, bring your SUV instead, just be there.
