the GT40P heads that i have are NOT drilled for emissions... but the mid pipe im running does have cats. can i still use my smog pump? would i just have to block off the lines that go to the back of the heads and just run the line right to the mid pipe?

i have also deleted the EGR

Yes you can still run your smog pump. There are two tubes, one that leads to the back of the heads (except on the P heads as you know) and one that goes to the h-pipe. Just hook the one that runs to the h-pipe up, or do what I saw one guy in your position do and reconfigure your smog hoses to only run with one hose to the h-pipe smog tube. The EGR really has nothing to do with the smog pump except being part of the total emissions control system.
