Well now that i have my engine out im thinking about boring it. i found a whole rotating assembly kit for 1400 with pistons .20 over, What size would that bore it to?
also what kinda estimated power do you think my motor would put out? and estimated 1/4 mile times. if anyone has the close to the same setup

here is my set up

01 4.6 block bored .20 over
Ported/Polished heads
Comp 270 cams & springs
Bullit intake manifold

As far as bolt ons i have
Long tubes, Off Road X, Flowmaster Catback
Eletric Water Pump, Jlt Cold air 90mm Lightning MAf
Underdrive Pulleys and Ac Delete, sct tuner

Drive Train - T56 Transmission, Aluminum Drive Shaft and 4.10 Gears

i have seen a guy on these forums running vt stage 1 cams and all bolt ons doing 290 wheel and high 12's. that was without head work, bullit manifold and block bored

20 over with the stock stroke (3.5433") will displace right at 284 cubic inches.

Yeah, there are a bunch of cam only 2 valves making over 300 to the tire. It will all depend on the extent and type of porting done to your heads. Depending on how they do your heads and what size and type valves they use, you could make anywhere between 320-340+. Most of the 2 valve guys that I know across the country are making right around 350 to the tire with fully ported heads, Bullitt intakes, and a mid to upper 230'ish cam @ .050".

As far as your 1/4 mile times, that is anybody's guess. :)

i have never seen any 2V's with only cams over 300 at the tire. not saying it is impossible but i wouldnt get my hopes up for taht much power. i'd still say about 280.

laserred, are these cars that you have done? have you actually seen a 2V putting down 340 RWHP with cams and ported heads? i would like to see the car b/c that is a LOT of HP from just cams and heads. not doubting you, but i would like to see the acr and the mod list that is putting down that much power in N/A form

Owned, if you would like, I have a N/A and N20 run overlayed on one graph if you would like me to email it or PM it to you. The N20 run was with the 125 HP N20 jet. It's of my '01 on a Mustang MD-250 dyno SAE corrected. Bone stock heads and cams. It should give you an idea of what these motors can do. ;)
