I'm in the process of building a 347 stroker, and I would like some thoughts/opinions on my parts selection, so be kind:

stock roller b-balanced,blueprinted and bored .030
forged rotating assembly with Probe SRS 12352-030 pistons
edelbrock performer rpm 2 intake
75mm throttle body/80mm maf cal. to 30# injectors
comp cams xe282 cam with 1.7 rr
afr 185 heads with spring upgrade
performance automatic AOD with 2600 stall
3.55 gears with posi
30# injectors and a 255lph pump
compression ratio with 58cc heads= 9.3-1
stock suspension, subframe connectors and 235/45/17 tire
JBA mid length headers and 2.5 inch flowmaster exhaust

so, how does this setup sound? Any thoughts/suggestions?Thanks again.

Why use 1.7 ratio rockers? Have you considered buying the right camshaft instead?

Not the parts I would choose but I would get a custom cam for the parts you are using. No experience with how the ports are on the rpm2, but may wanna be sure they line up with the afr185s, if not, may need to do some port work on the lower. Why the 30s? May need some a tad larger, I use 30s on my 306, depends on how much power you plan to make though. Why the low compression? Understand if maybe a power adder later, but if staying na, go for 10 to 1 or so. With a tune, np on the premium pump gas. If its a dd, can understand keeping it low as well for saving on some gas. Also, be sure the stall you use matches the cam choice, check with your cam builder.

Once its all said and done, you should have a fun street car there with alot of torque. You will need some better bushings on your stock control arms, or some better arms.

I'm new to the engine build game, so I called AFR, and this is the setup that was recommended after talking to the tech line for over an hour. Of the parts list, I already have the injectors, throttle body, intake, and the short block. As for the lower c/r, I may at a later date have a power adder, not sure though. This is in a '66 coupe, and it is not a DD, but I do take it on frequent long cruises. In a nutshell, I am aiming for something nasty as hell, that will also behave fairly decent on the street. Once again, I am very open to suggestions, thanks.
